Information about prompt payment(s) and security

On the 12th and 13th of April we have informed you about the processing of prompt payments/payments on cash declarations and the payment expiry notification. Due to the transition to a new financial administration, there is a transition in work activities within Customs. This means that we will carry out manual operations during this transition period.
Because the payment is processed differently, this may mean that in some cases the security provided by you differs from your own administration. This is caused by the short period of time in which the manual work needs to take place, especially when transitioning to a new month. As a result, the ‘amount remaining to be paid’ on the payment expiry notice may also not match your own records. This affects the overview of declarations made (OGA). Posting is delayed. As soon as we have more information about this, we will inform you and will still send the overviews.
The finalisation to the new financial administration is in June. Until then, Customs will continue to carry out this process manually.
We would like to inform you in advance that in the course of this year, the account on which you make the prompt payments/payment of cash declarations will be closed. You can then transfer your payment to the general account number: NL42INGB0000064933 of Customs Netherlands. Additional information will be communicated to you in a timely manner.
