Update on production disruption NCTS
Publication date 14-10-2022, 15:01 |
On Tuesday evening October 11, 2022, a workaround for the problem with the use of diacritics (UTF8) was installed within NCTS.
The operation of this workaround is that characters that our application cannot process for reading into the database are removed.
Departure:
For departure consignments you can sometimes get a removal permission (IE029) where some text boxes are filled differently than they should be.
This has no effect on the processing of these messages, so the transport will not be affected.
Destination:
It may take a little longer for arrival notifications before all messages are processed normally again.
This is because we have already received the data in this database for shipments that have left for this installation.
We are still unable to send the permissions to unload for shipments that left before October 12 and contain diacritics.
More recent shipments will be processed normally, so textual adjustments have sometimes been made in the IE043.
Confirmation of exit:
The problem with the automated link between NCTS and ECS is also related to the above.
As a result, for many export declarations that are listed on a subsequent NCTS document, no DMSEOG (exit confirmations) is sent.
We are currently updating these files manually. Unfortunately, this can take until next week.
We will of course continue to work on a definitive solution to this problem.
