New timetable for transition to DMS 4.0 published

The new timetable for the rollout of DMS 4.0 has been announced. This applies to declarants who are currently filing declarations via the normal procedure in the Declaration System (AGS). The timetable was discussed and agreed with business representatives in the Customs-Industry Forum (ODB).

The migration of declarants currently submitting storage declarations in AGS via the normal procedure will start on 18 July 2022.

The timetable had to be adjusted because the interface with the system for the collection of customs duties will not be available until the end of September. This is also because ‘DMS output’ will not be delivered until early December.

To minimise the impact of the delay, we advise companies and software suppliers to continue with their migration preparations. A useful tool for this purpose is the Roadmap/checklist for migration from AGS to DMS.
